Loop

This work received an honorable mention from Patrick Nagatani and Leigh Ann Langwell and was displayed at John Sommers Gallery in 2015. It is an exploration of the recurrent cycle of mental illness and implements the act of 'looping' as an expression of the variance of both good and bad days when being confined by cognitive abnormalities. The act of looping was an essential part to this work because it was a very literal expression of the loop and cycling that my brain was accustomed to doing. The piece was on an endless repetition, playing with the concept of the “never ending” thought process that often exacerbates anxiety and depression.
